Peter S. Foote, M.D.  (Read Press Release on Recent Charity Work)

Peter S. Foote, M.D. is the Medical Director of Milwaukee Eye Care Associates and one of the area’s most experienced, certified LASIK surgeons. A Milwaukee native, Dr. Foote has practiced ophthalmology since 1983, and has performed thousands of LASIK procedures.

Dr. Foote received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in New York, where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He completed medical school and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin, where he was chief resident. In 1996, he completed a mini-fellowship in laser vision correction in Houston, and received additional laser training at Columbia University in New York and at Rush Presbyterian in Chicago.

A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Foote is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, an associate of Research to Prevent Blindness, and a member of the Wisconsin Academy of Ophthalmology. He also served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Milwaukee County Medical Society. Dr. Foote also volunteers his expertise as an eye surgeon in the Caribbean restoring the vision of the poor people in the Caribbean, who are blinded by cataracts.

Since 1933 Milwaukee Eye Care Associates has built a reputation for excellence throughout Wisconsin. Not only has Dr. Foote been recognized as one of "Milwaukee's Best Doctors" in Milwaukee Magazine for the past twelve years; he has also been named the "Doctor's Choice" for the year 2004 based on a poll of local physicians.
