David J. Weis, O.D.
David J. Weis, O.D., is originally from Iowa and began practicing at Milwaukee Eye Care Associates in the year 2000. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Marquette University and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1999. Dr. Weis completed his post graduate residency in Primary Eye Care at the Portland, Oregon VA Medical Center.
Dr. Weis’ clinical experience includes internship rotations at the Illinois Eye Institute, the Chicago VA Health System and in Nome, Alaska where he provided eye care services to remote Native Alaskan villages. He has also provided volunteer eye care on numerous mission trips to Costa Rica and is currently an active participant with the Nevis Eye Care Program. He is a member of the Wisconsin and American Optometric Associations.
Dr. Weis is happily married and a proud father of three children. He enjoys bicycling, canoeing and skiing.
